Naaahhh. It's discipline and focus. First few days will be hard, then you will get used to writing every day or find yourself WAY behind. By that point, you will know if it'd for you/if you want to finish. Your instinct will kick in.
I'm just being melodramatic. It's really not that bad. I just have the urge to go "Ahhh! Must go faster, faster, FASTER!!" every now and then, but otherwise I'm good. I'm actually trying to be more calm this year. Spazzing out last year was not helpful. 1,600 words (or 2000+ if I don't write every day) isn't that much when you think about it.
No it isn't and once you find your groove, you'll go over it easily. The contest I'm entering is 1200-1500 words TOTAL. lol small potatoes. To me, NANO was more about discipline the ability to stick it out even when you say "man, this isn't going well." I would sit here and think about J.K Rowling writing in her little Englidh cafe with her kid and a racket. After that, writing anywhere else would seem easy..lol Plus, if you did all your planning and it gave you a solid direction then you are even further ahead. You can always write me and say "Help, I need inspiration today!" or whatever.
